The City of Winnipeg’s annual spring cleanup started this past Sunday. Here’s what’s happening:
• The entire street network including roads, bridges, sidewalks and paths will be swept
• Litter will be removed from boulevards and medians on major routes, as well as litter and debris in City parks
You can help in two ways:
- Observing no-parking signs to ensure crews can do their work, and to avoid being towed or ticketed. Consult winnipeg.ca/springcleanup and use the Know Your Zone app.
- Help with litter cleanup on your own street, either informally or by holding a neighbourhood spring cleanup!
Yard waste collection service will also begin the weeks of May 4 for addresses in collection area A and May 11 for addresses in collection area B. Not sure what zone you’re in? You can use the Citizen’s Information Service website to look up your address, or contact my office for support.
